Germany & Rome

Stayed with Meike in Augsburg, Germany for a 4 days- had a ball hanging out with her and her flatmates! Then flew to Rome. I wanted to change my flight so that I skipped Rome altogether and flew home via Syndey... but wasn't able to. I have to stay in Rome for 5 nights, but I was able to get a flight home from bangkok only a few hours after I land there- so Im home at 6.30 saturday morning!

Its been quite cool here in Rome, it is a lot nicer than I expected- the guys arent as sleazy as I had heard, and the weather has been beautiful- no jumpers needed!
Very much looking forward to going home though!

Oh, and for the first time in just over 11 months I had a flight mishap! First, 5 minutes before my flight was boarding I had to run back to the check in desk (10 minutes running away), get my passport and run back to my gate ( get through security again too!). Then boarded my flight sweaty, hot and tired... but with my passport in hand.

If thats not enough drama for one flight... on landing in Rome I went to get my bag... I waited... and waited... then I realised that there was no one else waiting for bags, and the same bags were going around and around on the conveyor belt. So I went to the lost baggage desk, quoted my bag, flight number etc and she says "Oh yes, your bag is in Frankfurt"
me- "ah, ok... when will it get here?"
"It will come on the next flight, 11 pm tonight"

Anyway, I tried contacting both Lufthanser about its whereabouts and my insurance company to see what they could do... Lufthanser gave me no insight about its whereabouts... and I couldnt get on to lufthanser.
Now it is 11am and my bag has just arrived, and am very eager to have a shower and get into some clean clothes!

I thought it was rather strange though that it was the first flight hiccup that has happened to me in 11 months of traveling, when I only have a short time before I get home.

Wales

Cardiff
Euch- Cardiff was not an enjoyable experience for me at all! I arrived there tired, short on money and having no idea where I wanted to go next! The best thing about Cardiff was leaving it... when I found a hostel in Fishguard to that was only £60 per week!

Loads and loads of relaxing :)
